📋 Practical Information
What is the opening period of the cottage?
Our cottage is open from April to September. Outside this period, we can study requests on a case-by-case basis. Feel free to contact us to find out what's possible.
What is the minimum stay duration?
The minimum duration is one week. We offer stays during the week (Monday-Saturday) or a full week (Saturday-Saturday).
What are the rates and how do I book?
You can check our rates and availability directly on our website. Bookings are made via our website or through our partners: Vrbo/Abritel, Airbnb or Booking.com.
How is payment made?
A deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking. The balance is due upon your arrival.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- More than 2 months : 100% refund
- Less than 2 months : 75% refund
- Less than 1 month : 50% refund
- Within 15 days : 100% cancellation

🏠 The House and Equipment
How many people can the house accommodate?
The house has 1 bedroom with a double bed and a 2-seater sofa bed in the living room, which can accommodate up to 4 people maximum (comfortably for 2 adults).
Do you have WiFi and Internet access?
Yes, free WiFi connection is available throughout the house. We receive 4G and 5G networks.
What kitchen equipment is available?
The house has a fully equipped kitchen with: refrigerator, freezer, electric oven, microwave, electric hob, and all necessary kitchen utensils and accessories (crockery, saucepans, frying pans, etc.).
Is there a television?
Yes, an LCD television with TNT is available in the living room, as well as access to Amazon Prime and Netflix (you can use your own account).
Does the house have a washing machine?
No, the cottage is not equipped with a washing machine. For a one-week stay, we recommend bringing plenty of changes of clothes. A laundry service is available near the cottage if needed.
What sheets and towels are provided?
Sheets and towels are not provided by default. You can rent sheets and towels for €15 per week by requesting them at the time of booking. Otherwise, bring your own.
Is the house air-conditioned?
The house is not air-conditioned, but it has mechanical ventilation and benefits from good air circulation. In summer, the shaded garden offers a cool corner. In intermediate periods, you benefit from central heating. An oil heater is available if needed.
🌳 The Garden and Outdoor Area
Is there a garden?
Yes! The cottage has a fully enclosed, tree-lined garden of approximately 150 m² with a terrace, a garden table, chairs, a parasol and a barbecue to enjoy the outdoors.
Is the garden safe for children?
Yes, the garden is completely enclosed, making it an ideal and safe place for children and dogs to roam freely.
Do you have parking?
You can park your car on the wide pavement in front of the house, free of charge. Parking is relatively easy, even in high season.

Do you accept pets?
Yes, we accept calm dogs in the cottage and enclosed garden. Feel free to contact us for more details.
Is there an extra charge for dogs?
There is no extra charge for dogs. We ask that your pet is up to date with vaccinations and well-behaved, and that you respect the cleanliness of the cottage and garden.
Is there a dog-friendly beach near the house?
Yes! Saint Aubin sur Mer has a dog-friendly beach, right opposite the cottage. This is one of the great advantages of the cottage for dog owners!
📍 Location and Access
How far is the beach?
The beach is approximately 100 to 150 metres from the cottage, a short walk of 2-3 minutes. It's very convenient to enjoy the sea at any time.
What shops are nearby?
Everything is within walking distance:

Can you visit the D-Day beaches from Saint Aubin?
Absolutely! Saint Aubin sur Mer is ideally located to visit the D-Day beaches: Courseulles (5 km), Juno Beach (10 km), Arromanches (12 km). It's an excellent base for a family visit. Check out our activities guide.
Is there public transport?
Yes, bus stops are located right next to the cottage, particularly to access Caen and other towns in the region.
🏨 Services and Welcome
How do check-in and check-out work?
Check-in is generally in the afternoon (from 3pm) and check-out in the morning (before 10am). We give you the keys on arrival and collect them on departure.
Who welcomes the guests?
The owners, Joël and Nathalie, are usually present to welcome you. They remain available if you need anything during your stay. Otherwise, a key box allows you to access the cottage.
What is the cleaning cost at the end of the stay?
The cottage must be left clean and tidy when you leave. You can choose the cleaning option to be relieved of this task.
How can I contact you if there's a problem?
You can contact us directly or go through your booking platform (Vrbo, Airbnb, Clévacances). The owners are very responsive and will do their best to resolve any issues quickly.
⚠️ Terms and Rules of Stay
Are there restrictions on events and parties?
The cottage is intended for holiday stays. Parties, noisy events or gatherings are not allowed. The owners ask for respect of neighbourhood quiet, especially after 10pm.
Can you smoke in the house?
No, the cottage is non-smoking. You can smoke in the garden, away from doors and windows.
What are the safety rules?
For your safety, we ask you to respect basic rules: lock doors at night, report any problems (leaks, electricity, etc.) immediately.
